Properties – a brief overview

Learn how properties are structured, what information they contain, and how to manage related agreements and contacts.

In the WasteHero ecosystem, a property functions much like a "customer." A property can represent a single customer or have multiple customers related to it.

What is a property?

In WasteHero, a Property acts much like a "customer profile." It represents a specific location and holds all the essential data related to it. A property can be linked to one or multiple customers, depending on how your organization operates.

A property stores key information such as:

  • Property and Contact Information

  • Containers on the Property

  • Service Agreements and Waste Fractions

  • Scheduled Collections

  • Tickets

  • Fees and Billing Information

Open up the left-hand sidebar. Go to Customers and then Properties. This will take you to the All Properties page. Here, you are able to view all the properties connected to your current project.

When you click on a property (either via id, address or the View button), you'll be taken to the Property Details page. The first section you'll see is the Overview, which gives a high-level snapshot of everything tied to that property.

This page is where handle the majority of managing and interacting with our properties.

At the top of the Property Details page, you’ll see a series of tabs. Each tab provides an in-depth view into a specific aspect of the property, allowing you to navigate and manage different areas of the system with ease.

We are currently looking at the Overview tab. In the center of the page, you’ll see a table listing all agreements associated with the property.

Agreements

Agreements represent the services provided at the property - these are your waste containers or bins along with associated fees. Each agreement includes detailed information such as:

  • Status

  • Waste fraction

  • Container type

  • Pickup scheme

  • Collection calendar

  • Route scheme

This table can be filtered and sorted in multiple ways, allowing you to quickly narrow down and focus on the specific data you need. You can also customize the table view by selecting which columns to display and rearranging them to suit your preferences.

Actions

On the left-hand side of the Overview page, you’ll find the Actions panel. This is where you can perform key tasks related to the property, such as:

  • Creating property tickets

  • Adding new agreements

  • Printing container labels

These tools help you manage and update property-related information quickly and efficiently.

Contacts

Right below the Actions panel, you'll find the Contacts section. This section displays all the people connected to the property. These can include:

  • Payer

  • Owner

  • Administrator

You can add multiple contacts, each with their own role and details.

Everything you need at a glance

At the bottom of the Overview page, you’ll find several helpful sections that give you a quick snapshot of key property activity:

  • Map – Visualize the property’s location.

  • Collections – View recent and upcoming waste collection events.

  • Unresolved Tickets – See if there are any open issues that need attention.

  • Event Log – Track recent activity and changes related to the property.

These sections are designed to help you quickly understand what’s happening at the property - without having to navigate through multiple tabs or menus. It’s everything you need to stay informed and take action if necessary.
