You’ll need to choose a project, name the pickup setting, set collections per week, and define the interval in weeks.

  • Project, select the project this pickup setting applies to.

  • Name, enter a descriptive name for the pickup schedule (e.g., “Weekly - Monday & Thursday”).

  • Collections per week, define how many times collection should occur in a single week.

If Collections per week is set to 1, the system will show “Weeks between”. This defines the number of weeks between each pickup (e.g., every 2 weeks).

If Collections per week is greater than 1 the field changes to “Days between”. This defines the number of days between each pickup (e.g., every 3 days).

The pickup setting defines the rules for collection but does not include actual dates. Dates will be set using a Collection Calendar.

Creating a collection calendar

Once you’ve created a Pickup Setting, the next step is to define a Collection Calendar. This determines the exact days and schedule on which waste pickups will occur.

Basic configuration

  • Name: choose a name for the calendar (e.g., “Test”, “Summer Schedule”).

  • Type:

    • Regular (default) – Used for standard collection planning.

    • Combined – Allows you to include other collection calendars inside this one, useful for overlapping or shared routes.

  • Week: Indicates the week of the year when the collection cycle starts (e.g., Week 1, Week 8).

  • From Date: Defines the starting calendar date for the collection cycle.

  • Weekdays: Choose the specific days of the week when pickups should happen (e.g., Monday, Wednesday, Friday).

    • The number of selected days must match the Collections per Week defined in the Pickup Setting.

    • Example: If you defined 5 collections per week, you can select up to 5 weekdays here.

Generating multiple collection dates at once

Instead of manually adding each pickup date, you can quickly generate them in bulk using the pickup setting's calendar generation tool.

How to bulk-generate collection dates

  1. Go to the Pickup Settings overview page.

  2. Locate the Collection Calendar linked to your pickup setting.

  3. Click the three-dot menu (⋮) next to the calendar.

  4. Select “Generate Dates.”

  5. In the dialog box:

    • Fill in the Period End date — this defines the end of the date range.

  6. Click Submit.
