Saving Time On The Road: Auto Complete Stops

Fewer Clicks, Faster Routes

Manually completing dozens of containers at a single stop can be time-consuming and frustrating for drivers. For users with routes that include large numbers of containers — sometimes 50 or more at one location — tapping through each task in the navigation app becomes a tedious process.

That’s where the Auto Complete feature comes in.

What Is Auto Complete?

Say you have a route containing 50 individual bins. This would normally mean that you driver has to click complete in the navigation app for each one of those bins - that's 50 taps. Auto Complete can help you with that. It automatically marks all the bins as completed based on rules that you set up yourself. This eliminates the need for drivers to manually tap through each container, saving time and effort on the road.

When to Use Auto Complete

Auto Complete is especially useful when:

  • A routes include a high number of containers

  • The work is standardized and does not require individual confirmation

  • You want to minimize manual input from drivers during busy or repetitive routes

How to Enable Auto Complete

To activate Auto Complete, you need to update the Route Scheme:

  • Go to Route Schemes under Operation

  • Select View on the scheme you want to edit

  • Under the Vehicle settings, toggle Auto Complete to On and enable Auto complete by radius

Note: This feature works better if you don't use weight requirements after completing each stop such as Container collection weight and
Waste station collection weight

You can configure these options to suit your needs. Most operations use the Radius setting, but you can also enable RFID if preferred.

Available options:

  • Auto Complete by RFID – If the container uses RFID, you can scan it to complete the stop.

  • Next Stop Only – Only autocompletes the next stop defined on the route. If you pass another container that isn’t the next scheduled stop, you won’t be able to complete it using autocomplete.

  • Use Planned Containers – When enabled, routes will dynamically add stops while driving, based on container collection dates.

  • Radius – The distance within which the container must be located relative to the driver’s position for autocomplete to trigger.

  • Duration – The amount of time the container needs to remain within the radius before autocomplete completes the stop.

Once you’ve chosen and configured your preferred options, click Submit to save your changes.

After enabling, any routes created from this scheme will use Auto Complete for all stops.

Auto Complete helps streamline your daily operations, allowing drivers to focus more on completing the route and less on tapping through tasks.
