With WasteHero's User Management tools, you can define exactly who has access to what — ensuring a smooth and safe operation.
Accessing User Management
Go to Settings.
Select User Management.
Here, you’ll see a full list of users and their assigned roles.
Creating and Configuring Roles
Click on the Roles tab to manage or create new user roles.
Click + Add Role to create a new role.
You’ll now see a detailed permission matrix. This matrix allows you to define what each role can view, edit, create, or delete across all areas of the system.
You can control access to everything from tickets and containers to routes, reports, and settings — down to a very granular level.
Granting Full Access with Master Users
There’s one more powerful feature in User Management — Master Users.
To enable it:
Go to User Management.
Click on a user.
Go to Edit mode in the lower left hand corner.
Toggle the Is Master option and press submit.
When a user is marked as a Master User, they become a superuser with full access to all features. This setting overrides any existing permissions in the permissions matrix, making it a quick way to grant someone complete administrative control.
Why Roles and Permissions Matter
A well-structured role setup:
Ensures users only see and modify what they need to
Helps maintain operational control and data security
Supports a clear hierarchy, which is especially important in larger teams or multi-department setups
Allows you to adapt permissions as responsibilities change
This feature is a powerful tool for tailoring the platform to your internal workflows while maintaining oversight and control.
