Prerequisites - permissions
To access Data Exports, your role must have the Export permission enabled under the Analytics section. If you can see the Data Exports menu item but are unable to export, contact your administrator and ask them to grant you the necessary permission.
Step 1 - Open data exports
Go to Data & Analytics in the left navigation.
Select Data Exports.
The list shows all existing exports - including their status, export type, last run time, and progress.
Step 2 - Create a new export
Click the Action button in the top-right corner and select Create export. A dialog will appear with the following fields:
Projects - the project the export belongs to
Export name - a name to identify this export
Export type - what you want to export (see options below)
File type - CSV or XLSX
Available export types:
Containers
Tickets
Routes
Properties
Agreements
Waste fractions
Pickup settings
Collection calendars
Click Submit to proceed to the configuration page.
Step 3 - Configure the export
After submitting, you are taken to the export configuration page. The left-hand Setting menu lets you navigate between sections: Export information, Filter, Region, Columns, Data summary, Schedule export, and Send export.
Filter
Use filters to narrow down which records are included in the export. There are two filter groups:
Container-related filter - filter by container Type, Pickup setting, Collection calendar, or Waste fraction.
Operation-related filter - filter by Route scheme to include only containers related to specific operational routes.
Click + Add filter under either group to open the filter panel and make your selections.
Region
Draw one or more regions on the map to export only data within a specific geographic area. Click + Add region and use the polygon tool to mark the area of interest.
Columns
Select which fields to include in the exported file. This covers all standard container fields as well as any custom fields your company has defined.
Data summary
After setting your filters and columns, click Update summary to preview how many items and columns will be included in the export before running it.
Step 4 - Schedule and send (optional)
Schedule export - set up a recurring export so the file is generated automatically at a defined interval.
Send export - specify a user who should receive the export file when it is ready.
Step 5 - Generate the export
Click Generate export to start the export. You can also click Save as draft to save your configuration without running it yet.
Tracking export progress
After generating an export, click the notification bell in the top-right corner and open the Background jobs tab. Here you can see each export job, its current status (Completed, In progress, etc.), and the percentage of completion.
Tips
The export list shows Historical export count so you can see how many times a configuration has been run.
Exports in Draft status can be resumed at any time by clicking Continue editing.
