Introduction
The container label printing and scanning feature is one of the most powerful features and can streamline your waste collection process. It is highly flexible for setup in ticket automation rules.
Setting up
Note:
Set up in Ticket type setting → Automation. Find "In progress" to "Complete" status, and find "Promt container-related requirements for status transit".
You can find the setting in the automation rule under the ticket types setting. We currently only support the status from In progress to complete. Click on "Promt container-related requirements for status transit".
You can now see several options for setup:
Require container label printed
When the user is temped to make the ticket status from In-progress to completed, the system will require the associated container to the ticket to have a least been printed once. You can check in ticket history log on the printing activity.
This action is only available on the WasteHero platform.
Require container lD barcode scanning
When the user on the navigation app is trying to complete the ticket, the system will ask the user to scan the container barcode as a required step for ticket completion. This feature will required to run the app on a scanner-integrated device.
This action is only available on the WasteHero navigation app.
Require container RFID paring
When the user on the navigation app is trying to complete the ticket, the system will ask the user to pair an RFID tag (with a unique ID) as a required step for ticket completion. This feature will required to run the app on a scanner-integrated device.
This action is only available on the WasteHero navigation app.
Label printing
Label printing is available in all cases, even without the ticket automation rule. This action is only available on the WasteHero platform.
The container labels can be printed across the WasteHero platform and Navigation app. There are different places where you can find this functionality. You can print from:
Container table | Select any container(s) → The print label option will be available in the top bar. You can print more than one label. The file can be found in Notification → Background jobs. |
Container detail view | You can print individual container labels. |
Ticket table | Select any ticket(s) → The print label option will be available in the top bar. You can print more than one label. The file can be found in Notification → Background jobs. This will be recorded in the print history for the status transit requirements check. |
Ticket detail view | You can print individual container labels. This will be recorded in the print history for the status transit requirements check. |
Remember, if you print more than one label, you will need to find the file in the Notification Background jobs.
Scan barcodes & pair RFID
This action is only available on the navigation app when the corresponding ticket automation rule is set up.
Step 1 | Open the ticket table
Open the ticket table in the navigation app. If you would like to target certain types of tickets (for example, a specific ticket type or only the tickets assigned to you), you can use the filter to target the tickets.
Step 2 | Scan a container barcode
Scan a container barcode in the ticket table view. The system will quickly help you highlight haw many tickets on this container you just scanned. Tap on the result, then it will take you to the ticket completion view.
Step 3 | Check requirements for ticket completion
You can now check what actions are required. Once all the action required is marked as completed, you can complete the ticekt.
Overwriting the rule is possible
The requirements for ticket completion can be overwritten in the WasteHero platform → Ticket table → Ticket detail view. Platform users will have the option to overwrite the requirement when transiting the status.
