Work under connection disruptions

Updated over a month ago

Introduction

Offline mode is designed to help drivers manage tasks during connection interruptions. In this article, you’ll learn about the available options for completing tasks offline.

Types of disruptions

  • Lost Connection to the Internet:
This indicates the device is not connected to a network. Users can check Wi-Fi availability or ensure mobile data is active.

  • Lost Connection to the Server:
This indicates a disruption on the server side, which will typically be resolved promptly by the WasteHero team.

In both cases, the user will be directed to Offline Mode. These incidents will not prevent drivers from continuing their work on the routes.

How to work in offline mode

When the device loses internet connectivity during a route, drivers can continue along the route, complete stops, and create tickets as usual. All data will automatically upload to the server once the device reconnects to the network.

What can be done in Offline mode

Can do

  • Completing stops

  • Creating tickets

  • View stops/ticket details that are related to the current route

  • Turn-by-turn navigation

  • Remove stops

Can not do

  • Load new routes

  • Exit the route and join again

Conflicts

The system records only the data that reaches the server first.

For example, if Driver A completes a ticket at 10:00, but Driver B, who is working offline, removes a stop at 09:30 and reconnects to the network at 10:05, the system will register only the data from Driver A.
