Introduction

The property custom field is an essential feature that allows you to tailor each property to your specific needs. This feature ensures that different property types contain the precise information required to manage tasks successfully.


Platform

Property custom fields within the platform allow for detailed property configuration and management.

Supported Field types

Type

Description

Select

Set up multiple options for ticket reporters to select, but they can only select one option.

Multi-select

Set up multiple options for ticket reporters to select more than options.

Number input

Set up a number-only field for ticket reporters to input numbers.

Text

Set up a text-only field for ticket reporters to input text.

Remember, you can determine if the field should be required or optional. You can always edit this even after creation. However,

Once the custom field is created, you cannot change the field type again. You will need to create a new one.

Add a New Property Custom Field

You need to create a custom field first before you can attach the field to multiple property types.

  1. Go to Settings โ†’ Custom fields โ†’ Properties and containers

  2. Click on the '+' button on the list to the left

  3. Fill in all the required fields, and most importantly, set up the field type to determine if the field should be optional or required.

  4. Save the changes.

Visibility

Property custom fields are visible in:

  • Property creation and editing views (including bulk actions).

  • Property detail views.

Permissions

Control access to property custom fields through roles and permissions settings.


Navigation App

The Navigation App integrates property custom fields for driver interactions.

Field Visibility

Drivers can view property custom fields:

  • In the property detail view.

  • Within stop details for relevant property information.

Use Case

Property custom fields ensure drivers have all required data, facilitating efficient task execution.


Portal

In the Citizen Portal, property custom fields enhance property submission and tracking.

Field Visibility

Citizens can:

  • Fill in property custom fields during property creation.

  • View property custom field details on property pages.
